Seated on the sand near the shore line, he watched the waves, unusually quiet. A lot of people may have thought him chatty, the life of the party, but when he was alone he didn't have to live up to any sort of image or expectation. And when he was alone, he was the real him, a rather quiet and thoughtful person. He had probably been sitting there for a couple hours now, soaking in the sun as he let the time pass him by, like he usually did when he went to the beach. At least it was the weekend and he didn't have anything else to be doing. He had gotten lucky and ended up finishing homework so his weekend was an entire two days of freedom. This was often what he chose to do with it. He wasn't even in the flirting mood right now, despite the look overs he noticed got from some of the teenage girls who decided to spend their weekend the same way he did. With a gentle sigh, Julian tilted his head upwards. He barely even registered his surroundings except for what was in front of him, the waves of the ocean and a couple boats on the horizon line. It was quite scenic, but he hadn't bothered to take his camera with him today. As much as he hated to admit it, Katherine had made his head spin, just as much as he managed to get under her skin. He didn't know why, but somehow he was both drawn to and bothered by her. So much for chemistry. He wasn't sure on whether to continue to pester her, or to avoid her when he could. Because either one didn't really suit his fancy. With another sigh, he shook his head again. She was on his mind way too much. He needed to move onto something else. And yet he found that there was nothing else. She was single-handedly the most interesting thing to happen to him all week. And other than feeling sorry for himself (which he'd rather not do), he was drawn to that interest. And yet again he couldn't understand the why behind it. This is frustrating. His thoughts usually didn't just linger on one particular girl, other than his ex, but Katherine had infected him, and managed to sneak into his mind somehow. And she wouldn't leave. | [/style] |
