Jenna heard her alarm clock go off and slammed her hand down on the snooze button with a groan. She repeated this action three times before her roommate finally dragged her out of bed and told her she had ten minutes before the tardy bell rang. Jenna rolled her eyes and let out a yawn before finally getting up and out of her bed. It didn't bother her that she only had a few minutes to get ready. She took her time, anyway. Luckily for her, she had showered the previous night after a long jog on the beach. All she had to do this morning was get dressed and fix her hair, which wasn't too hard considering her natural hair was gorgeous as it was (though of course, she found it horribly atrocious).
Acting like she had all the time in the world, Jenna casually threw on her uniform - a pale blue blazer with a navy pleated skirt - and pulled her hair back into a sloppy bun, adding a little hairspray to hold it in place throughout the day. That was one thing she hated about her prestegious private school - the uniforms. Sometimes she wished she went to a normal public school where she could wear whatever she wanted. Jenna was generally a very high fashioned person and usually only wore name brand items anyway. And of course, accessories are a must. Today, she had on her lucky cross necklace and a friendship bracelet she'd made with her best friends back in England, two items she almost always had on anyway.
Checking her phone for the time, Jenna grabbed her books and her purse and headed out the door. All that in only five minutes! That's got to be some sort of record. From there, Jenna took her time making it to class. Her first period was AP chem with Jones. Jenna had taken chemistry her last year in England and was already skilled in the subject. There was no rush for her. She made it to the hall the class was on with a couple minutes to spare. The hallway was deserted except for one person, standing by the water fountain. Jenna approached him and as she walked closer, she realized who it was. Caleb Moore. He was a senior who ran cross country with her. He was also in the yearbook club with her. They had become pretty good friends through that. "Hey Caleb!" Jenna said with a grin. "Cutting it pretty close this morning, aren't we?" she joked.
