It's been a while "And what makes you so sure about that? You psychic or something?" Julian teased with a raise of his brow, checking behind him to make sure nothing was in his way, like a tree or someone else walking around.
That would probably be embarrassing if he managed to knock someone over, or fall over himself. He didn't really trust himself on the matter, so it couldn't hurt. And she seemed to be quite confident about it while he on the other hand, was not.
A sheepish look returning to his face again, Julian avoided her gaze and instead chose to look at his shoes. Letting out a laugh that was more nervous sounding then he wanted it to be, he spoke before dropping the subject. "Yeeaaaah, I guess you can tell I'm not really all that great at......this....." he admitted, still not looking up. He kind of didn't really want to name the problem. It would be to actually understand that is was a problem. And when there was a problem it needed fixing. And fixing it.....was just not worth it right now.
"I didn't mean to say it was difficult," he shook his head with amusement, "just different. I don't know, not a lot of people would want to go out and try things that are probably guaranteed to be......not really all that great...hm......oh I didn't notice that," he laughed at her strawberry comment, teasing her more. "Totally didn't get that from before, Captain Obvious."
A light grin came to his face at her attempt at teasing him with the nickname. "I know sweetheart......but didn't we already establish that was sort of a good thing? Since you tend to like muffins and all," he finished with a cheeky smile, mischief in his eyes.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza scoffed at the comment. "I guess I wasn't the one to walk backwards for a while in the first place.... Yea I totally wouldn't be so sure," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes teasing back at him.
She giggled slightly at his next words with a small smile on her face. He was nervous or at least afraid of tripping over something. It wasn't something she worried about even if she should, although it was always a possibility. With a slight shake of her head, she said airily, "The only way to do it well is not to worry so much."
Elizza shrugged the matter off, speaking quietly, "I know." Although she narrowed her eyes at his teasing and decided to make something out it. "Didn't think so," she said confidently before running her hands through her hair a few times, trying to make it a little less heavy.
"Yea... so?" Elizza said with a lift of her shoulder, not making it much of a question.

It's been a while "Okay, fine, you have a point, but who knows, it could always happen....and when it does....if it does.... I'm reserving full rights to say I told you so....just so you know," Julian replied jokingly, keeping a cheeky, teasing grin on his face.
Looking down at his own feet for a second he frowned lightly before reverting back to walking normally though, after snapping a picture of her giggle. He had to say that this one had turned out rather nice. Satisfied, he looked up at her as she began speaking again.
"Thanks for the advice, though I think.....that maybe I should leave this whole walking backwards thing to you....since you seem to be the expert on it and all," he chuckled lightly with a shake of his head, a couple drops of water rolling off his hood and onto the ground, and a couple flying astray.
"So.....I would take a bit of pride in the fact that I'm even more of a muffin," Julian replied jokingly after a moment, with a concluding nod.
He knew she didn't expect an answer to the question, but it was open ended either way, and he just couldn't help himself.
Looking ahead a bit, he saw them nearing the edge of campus. It was only a couple blocks away to walk to get smoothies, which means that they'd be out of the rain in a couple minutes. A good thing too since their clothes were both pretty much soaked through, and it didn't seem like there was a place the rain hadn't gotten on them. Not that he minded too much. It was the snow that bothered him which they never got around here; the rain was sometimes a welcome change from the constant sun they got. And variety was the spice of life.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

“Okay, whatever makes you happy,” Elizza teased with a tilt of her head. She wiped her face with her sleeve, which didn't really help all that much now that her jacket was soaked.
She let out a quiet laugh and took a moment before speaking again. “Eh, well, what can I say it comes natural,” she shrugged and lifted her hands in a 'what can I do' kind of manner. Elizza would never exactly call herself an expert on anything. Because, honestly she wasn't. It was all just her will to do random things or her act of not thinking things over. Anyone going down that path would make a few strange things look easy, in her opinion anyway. Overall, she never really put much thought into many things she did, only the obvious ones that seemed to come to mind much easier for her.
However, surfing was different. It took her almost all of her concentration to get it right. Which made sense. Also it had been something she loved doing.
Elizza smirked and shook her head lightly. “Take the pride before I take it away,” she joked back. She took her hair to one side so she could ring out the drops at the ends of her hair. Biting the inside of her lip, Elizza looked around a moment before letting her heavy hair lay on her back.
Elizza looked back over at Julian, giving him a once over and she laughed, looking at her own clothes as well. “We are kinda soaked. Just a tad bit.”

It's been a while "Everyone has their hidden.....talents? Skills....? Abilities....?" Julian asked, not really sure what the right word was for it. It could be a talent, because it wasn't something people usually did, but then again, it could just be something that that person did and didn't find it all that special in their eyes. It was all up to how they defined it. Though Elizza didn't seem to define it that way at all.
"Either way, I'm leaving it to you," he repeated with a little smile. That was all there was to say on the matter.
Letting out a joking dramatic gasp, he frowned with a small pout on his lips, seeming hurt by the prospect. "You....you wouldn't.....would you?....." he asked softly in mock horror, with a saddened shake of his head.
"And then I was just beginning to trust you...." he shrugged in mock dismay before leaving the subject.
Looking the both of them over as well, Julian let out a laugh before pulling a bit at his shirt that was now stuck, clinging to the skin on his chest, pushing away the wet hair that had fallen onto his forehead. "I hadn't noticed.....but you did say you liked to swim," he said, trying to put a positive spin on the situation.
It wasn't necessary since neither he or Elizza really thought of the rain as a negative thing, in fact they both seemed to enjoy it, but sometimes it was nice to be unnecessarily cheerful. At least that was his sister's thoughts on the matter.....though it was more like being cheerful about absolutely everything, like a little ball of sunshine.
"Don't worry, we should be there in.......like another two minutes." It really wasn't that far now. They had just procrastinated mostly in the rain, prolonging their trip. Not that he minded though.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza smirked before letting her eyes fall to the ground at her now soaked shoes. Staring at the dark grey the rain had creating for a moment, she looked up to shrug. She didn't really have a word for it either. “Something like that I guess,” she said gingerly.
Turning her head to look at Julian, after hearing his overly dramatic gasp, Elizza chaffed with an amused cheeky smile as he pouted. She shook her head a laughed, beginning to walk backwards again. “No fair!” she exclaimed after his shrug of dismay before continuing on softly, “And I wouldn't.” She bit back a remark before walking straight again.
Elizza shook her head at the whole subject before letting it go, her cheeks seeming to not let her smile tone down. Biting the inside of her cheek, she flapped around her arms on her jeans. “Yup,” she said with a quick nod. He seemed to like swimming as well, so she didn't babble on on the note.
“I'm not worrying,” Elizza responded, looking around a bit. They were already soaked, so it didn't matter to her how far those smoothies were. She didn't mind and neither did he, and the rain had been nice after being cooped up in a dorm. Letting out a quiet giggle to herself as she felt the water in her shoes, making every step as if she were stepping into a puddle, Elizza looked down at her shoes before peeling her eyes away from the ground to look at what was ahead of them.

It's been a while "No fair? How is that no-........oh.......well that's a relief," Julian stopped his teasing tirade with a gentle, yet nervous smile and just dropped it then.
It seemed something he had said had struck a chord with her, and unsure whether it was a good or bad one, he decided not to push his luck. It seemed she wanted to say more, and curious as to what it was he decided to sneak a look at her, but unable to take an accurate guess at it he looked away, up at the sky before falling silent. There was nothing to say and no need to force it.
Looking to his side as he heard a noise, he smiled himself at Elizza's bright one that she couldn't seem to hide, and quietly taking a picture of that, he acted as if nothing happened before listening to her again. Nodding gently, he didn't add anything. No need for it, yet again.
Chuckling at her antics, he took a couple shots of it before busying himself with the view of the sky again. She reminded him of a little kid doing that, not really caring about the consequences following it. It was simply fun for now, no need to worry about it.
"Hm.....if your parents could see you now....." he said lightly in a quiet tone, mostly to himself. He wasn't exactly sure how overbearing they were, though from what he was told he could guess it was a little extreme. And at least now, she could get away with little things, even though it wasn't to the full extent of how free she wanted or could be. She would probably do more to her liking later, he could only assume.
"Enjoying yourself?" he asked with an amused lilt to his voice.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza looked at Julian as he spoke quietly. She answered with a quick questioning hum as to what he had said. Having what he said come to her almost a second later she only let out a slight laugh. If her parents could see her now... they'd be all over her. She shook her head of the thought with a sly smirk before occupying herself at the ground and her feet. There wasn't really much to say on the matter and she didn't feel up to talking about them again. Also it seemed Julian had gotten a good idea of their extremities of the family.
Elizza smirked with a lift of her shoulder as she began to walk backwards again to face him. “Of course.” She put her cold hands in the pockets of her jacket before looking behind her back.
She thought for a moment. As too what she had wanted, what kind of smoothie. That was the kind of thing she pondered on most. Simple decisions were made into a big deal, because she had been quite indecisive at times.
Turning back around to walk forward, Elizza glanced at Julian's camera, starting to wonder how many pictures he had taken of her. She had done what he said, ignored it all, and now she didn't even know or remember if he was still taking them at all. Inside she wanted to see them, however a little iffy on asking. Mentally shaking it off, she began slapping her arms on the front of her jeans as she walked, getting herself occupied in the sound of the wet clothing and the rain around them.

It's been a while Falling into contented silence, Julian just spent his time looking through the rain, so he would know when to turn as they had already passed a block.
With so many small places and shops around he could find anyone getting lost before finding the right place, and this was coming from someone who wasn't totally directionally challenged.
Especially with the rain and now a thin layer of fog covering the area it was extra important to pay attention. At least it was something his attention span would actually allow him to focus on, rather than class or homework in which the result would most likely end up with him falling asleep.
Other than that, he spent his quiet time noting on Elizza's different expressions, each of them considerably more amusing than the last. He hadn't really been paying attention to them before in their conversation, but since he was making something out of them he found himself picking up on it a lot more.
He had caught her smirk, and some of her little hand movements as she played with her clothes on camera, some of the things that made her totally unique. He didn't know if she'd be interested in seeing herself like that, but if she asked he definitely wouldn't be shy to show it to her.
They had all turned out rather nice, just for the fact that she had seemed to forgotten what he was occupying himself with, other than their banter. Sometimes people just tried to hard.....and it unsettled him and just made it harder to work with in general.
Looking up at the buildings they were passing, Julian quickly scanned their names before reaching the right one.
Stopping, but seeing Elizza kept on walking the wrong way, he chuckled before gently grabbing her hand and leading her to the door of the smoothie place, holding it open for her as they found shelter inside.
"You're hands are freezing. You sure you aren't too cold sweetheart," he laughed as he shook his head, pulling his soaking hood off it as he ran his hand through his totally messy hair once.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.
