Elizza gripped his jacket as he attempted tilting again. Pursing her lips at the comment, she loosened her grip to hold herself back up again. After amusing herself with making fun of other people and speaking a bit more to a few others girls that seemed nice from how long she knew them, Elizza started occupying herself in her head.
“As much as you could be,” she answered absently, trailing off as she started playing around with the ends of her hair. She practically had his rhythm of step by now. If you really examined it, the steps were pretty easy going and confident. She stopped reacting to the looks and just about everything as she stared at her hair a few strands at a time.
“Alright Mr. Wise Guy,” Elizza said sarcastically, scoffing at his dramatic tone and overdone cliches. He was really at it with those phrases today.
With a shake of her head, she could hear the rain outside changing timing. It seemed a bit less harsh than before. She let go of her hair and wiggled a bit hoping maybe he'd let her go if she did so. She was already drowsy from before they left and now she was drowsy again just lying over his shoulder. Although she knew they were probably at the exit now and he had to let her go then... to her logic and knowledge however.

It's been a while Feeling satisfied as he felt Elizza squeeze the arms of his jacket, out of pretend or real fear he couldn't tell, Julian stopped with the whole teasing to drop her thing. She had gotten the point already.
Letting out a small hum of amusement, he didn't reply back to her, though as Elizza started to occupy herself by playing with her hair, he found that some strands ended up in his face. Blinking and stopping walking for a moment, he gently moved her hair away from his face, tucking it behind her ear before it flipped behind his back from the way he was holding her. Biting back the comment he was going to make, Julian continued on, making the few steps to the door.
"See, you aren't the only one who can enlighten," he joked softly, feeling her go a little limp over his shoulder. She must not have slept much or the rain was really affecting her.
"And you didn't believe me when you said you wouldn't be able to nap up there," he teased once more with a quiet chuckle before finally setting her on her feet. It had been fun while it lasted.
Holding her by her shoulders for a moment to make sure she wouldn't fall over from not being aware, he himself stretched his arms, stiffling a yawn with his hand before rubbing the shoulder she had been previously occupying.
He did like the rain, but he wouldn't lie and say that it didn't make him feel any lack of energy. He wasn't impervious to its usual effects.
"Seems like you've made quite a few acquaintances," he noted, remembering hearing conversation from behind his back. He hadn't really been paying attention to what they had been saying, he was more focused on other things. "Which reminds me, I forgot to ask if you still think school is as horrible as you made it out to be." It was basically his way of asking how she was adjusting to Kingswood. She had really seemed to dread the fact, besides the homework and general learning involved.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Once Julian set her back on her feet, she shook her head to get her wavy hair out of her face. Giving Julian a look before noticing he had his camera with him for the first time, Elizza let out a breath. She frowned slightly at how non observant she had been earlier. Mentally shaking it off, she scoffed and her eyes traveled back to his. “Sure did.... I think,” she said placing her hands on her sides.
A sheepish smile crossed her face as he rubbed his shoulder out. Elizza looked behind her a second at the rain outside the door. Fortunately her strength was all coming back to her. Seeing the rain she just wanted to run out into it.
She licked her lips as she thought on his question. It really wasn't all that bad, besides the fact that you have to do school. Opening her mouth to respond, she pursed her lips, sort of rephrasing her answer better in her head before voicing it. “Maybe not,” she held out the may a bit longer.
“School sucks, but that's pretty much anywhere. Everything else is nice. Cause I get to do what I want,” Elizza voiced gingerly before turning away from Julian. Just before she opened the door she turned halfway to face him. “Thanks for not dropping me, very much appreciated.” And with a pat on his chest she pushed open the door and waited before really stepping out in the rain.
The shield the building gave only went so far and the drops of water that fell off the rim were thickening. Breathing in the misty air, Elizza walked out without pulling her hood over her head. She rarely ever did unless she planned to keep her hair a certain way, besides the water never really did much to her hair as it did to other girls' hair.
Elizza hummed in thought, staring at the wet ground. She look ahead of them now and noted, “Let's get those smoothies first.” Not really wanting to be around the school any longer, a smoothie might not be the ideal drink for this type of weather. However, it didn't matter to Elizza, she wanted a smoothie so she was going to get one.
Stuffing her hands in her jacket pockets she turned around to face Julian, walking backward. With a slight smirk, she asked curiously, “What are the craziest things you've done in the rain?” Asking such silly, or random, questions was a way Elizza really found out how some people were like. It interested and amused her to see what their answers would be. And even if she'd known them for some time, it told a bit their character in a way.

It's been a while Shaking his head with a laugh, Julian gave a simple shrug. "Well there is always that plus of being away from home." He was just glad she wasn't finding it as hard adjusting as he had. Granted, he went all the way across the country, while Elizza just moved a bit up north and there wasn't a big change in cultures. As much as people liked to think, the whole of America was pretty divided as far as how different their cultures were, and how things functioned. Fast paced, noisy and busy was not Julian's cup of tea, completely opposite of who he was, and he couldn't find himself able to be comfortable at all in New York. It was like a completely different world to him, as if he had gone all the way across the world instead of just the country. But being a kid, freedom from parent's and their expectations sounded wonderful at first. He felt odd under the constant microscope at home, or at least that's the perception he put onto himself. It had been a shock to him when he found that being away from home wasn't at all what he expected it to be. Shaking his head again, he bit his lip, frowning for a moment when he realized he had gotten lost into his own thoughts again before speaking to Elizza again.
"And what would you do with this so called freedom?" he asked, curious. It was one thing to say you have it, but when it came down to it, it was what you were planning to do with it that really counted. Some didn't even have a clue of where to start.
Chuckling lowly at the compliment, Julian watched as Elizza made her way outside, following her moments after. "You're quite welcome, sweetheart, but like I said, it was never part of the plan," he said as he pulled his hood over his head again. As much as he enjoyed rainy weather, his hair was already a mess to begin with, and he hated being cold, which wet hair often did.
Laughing a bit as he watched her walking backwards, Julian walked out of the small shelter provided by the roof of the dorms before nodding. "Alright, fine with me.....craziest thing......" he repeated, considering the question on his tongue. Now he was actually allowed to delve into his own thoughts for now. "Hm....."
He didn't really know what would qualify as crazy in her books, and neither in his. Sure he had done some stupid things in the rain before, but he wasn't sure what to share. "I've done a few photoshoots in thunder storms before.......and there was that one time with the water fight....." he shrugged, looking up at the sky as small rain drops fell onto his face. Those type of things usually went to the unimportant section of his mind, and he didn't really know what to do with them when he was asked. "Lame right? Not as crazy as you would like to believe," he smiled sheepishly. "And you?"
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

With a tilt of her head as she walked, Elizza thought hard on the question. What was she planning on doing with her freedom? No parents at all, only the rules of the school. But other than that she could do anything, and she was going to do anything she wanted. Even if she didn't know what 'anything' was overall. Anything at that moment was getting a smoothie.
Elizza left the answer unknown until they were outside. “Anything I guess. Hm...” She went back into her mind as she remembered all of the things she had done to show her freedom back home. It was all mostly the plans of her group of friends , her vulnerability gave in and she grew to be more of a leader rather than a follower with them as time passed. Which turned out to be a helpful trait in some instances. The short couple years that seemed to last a decade. A slight shiver and scoff as she glanced at Julian, she finally admitted, “I really don't know anymore. I'm not much of a planner.”
Elizza continued to walk backwards as he thought on her question. She studied him then, laughing a bit at how long he had to ponder on it. Nodding her head she smiled, she took note. “Good enough..... and me? Well... a lot,” she turned around to walk beside him.
Waiting a moment before answering him, she gathered her thoughts. “I used to do gymnastics, when I was younger because my mom was so set on me being a ballerina,” she let out a slight laugh as she continued, “and obviously I didn't like ballet or gymnastics, so instead of leaving to go to my lesson I danced around in a park in my ballet outfits, just full out flipping around and got them soaked and dirty with mud.” Elizza smiled widely at the thought before composing it by biting her lip. “I got in so much trouble, for around my age at the time anyway.....Hm, a few other things....” She began to mess with her now wet hair before speaking again. Trying to decide what else to share that wasn't something he didn't need to hear. Frowning she went on, “I've surfed, which I admit wasn't the easiest thing.” she trailed off, wrinkling her nose.
She was glad she had grown out of the stupid things she'd used to do, or be around, and now the past year or so she had found much better and bigger things she wanted. Elizza glanced at Julian, “And the rest lies unknown.” A small smile crossed her face at thought of some other experiences she would probably never tell him about. Besides none of it was as crazy as she'd wanted, pretty lame in fact, the usual and nothing special.

It's been a while Noticing the shiver, Julian looked at her, confused as to whether it was the weater causing it or something entirely seperate from what it was like outside. It couldn't hurt to ask though. And he would be more than happy to fix the problem if it was that. "Cold?" he closed the space between them quickly so he was walking at her side now.
Shaking his head a bit with a small smile, he guessed he couldn't really blame her for not knowing what to do. The prospect of being completely free of the rules of parents and making life your own way could be a bit overwhelming. He knew that had happened to him. At least she recognized it and was seeming to handle it. "Alright, well when you do figure it out, let me know. I'll be interested to hear," he said with another smile. "Though.....I thought it involved world domination or something like that...." he teased, shaking he thought out of his head a moment later.
Chuckling a bit at her story, he just listened as he imagined and conjured up a mental picture of what she was explaining. A little blond girl, totally messy in a ballet tutu. Now that was funny. "You were pushing the boundaries of the art form," he grinned, his usual excuse for anything he did. If there was one thing he learned from his old high school it was to totally pull stuff right out of thin air on the spot. When it doubt, make it up, like there's no tomorrow, is the one skill he would probably be using for a very, very long time. "You should've told them to be more accepting of your.....abstract style," he finished. He didn't know if she'd get all his art based jokes. They usually went over well with people who were actually interested in the field.
"I could imagine...." Julian replied with a small chuckle at the surfing comment. He barely knew how people managed to balance themselves on those things without having to face the harsh elements. "Unknown?.....well.....we could always make some of these unknown crazy rain experiences.....known by doing them ourselves...." he suggested with a little smirk and quirk of hs brow. "Besides, dwelling on the past isn't any fun." In this cas it wasn't such a big deal, but for other more serious things that people usually dwelled on....well he would rather not go there, even though when he was alone he often found that he did anyway.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza shook her head, doing the opposite of what she had said. “Only a bit, but I'm fine,” she responded with a small smile. After saying so, she moved her wet hair to one side. She regretted not pulling on her hood, however it didn't matter anymore. Laughing at the mention of world domination, she only stopped it to give him a serious look. “That's top secret.”
Glad to have entertained him with her strange story, Elizza nodded as he spoke. “Yes! Exactly.... Than I did that quite often,” she said with a smirk. “I would have if I cared that much,” she shook her head with a chaff before continuing, “You should see my family, they're like Babrie and Ken with kids. Everything perfect, precise. I don't know about you, but all of that gets very annoying. So I rebelled and never really got bad punishments. They thought Kingswood would be one, cause they wanted me to be more... I don't know,” she finished, using her hands more as she spoke.
Elizza let out a breath, getting tired of talking about herself. She tended to go on about things that wouldn't interest anyone else, or go on more without really thinking about it. Listening to his suggestion, she lifted a shoulder. “True say.” She never liked 'dwelling on the past' however whenever she had to think of it to do something or answer someone, she did. Overall she stayed in every passing moment, trying not to ponder so much on such things.
Elizza's eyes traveled around wondering how close or how far away they were form their destination. Not really being able to tell, she just shrugged. Looking back to Julian, she raised her eyebrows. “What exactly would you suggest unknown? Enlighten me.”

It's been a while Raising his hands in a defensive 'sorry I asked' manner, Julian shook his head with a smile appearing on his face for a second before disappearing. His face turned to an expression of shock at what Elizza said next. Not because the stuff she was saying was shocking, he was surprised at how open she was being with him. He had only known her for a couple days, and wasn't like they were very close or anything. He guessed she was a rather open person, and didn't feel it necessary to hide things. And he was the only one she had sort of begun to make friends with, and especially in a completely new place that could always make someone jump to hold onto them. He knew he had.....what a mistake that had been. Though, he openess and boldness comforted him in a way, like he knew what was face value was who she was.
"More......easier to control?" Julian offered as she finished. It sure seemed that way if she was going with the whole ideal doll analogy. "I don't exactly know.......but their expectations......parents I mean.....they're usually hard to live up to.....even though they don't voice them," he said with a tiny frown, looking at his shoes for a moment. He knew that his own parents loved both his sister and himself equally, but he couldn't help but feel inadequate sometimes. His sister just seemed.....so much more impressive in what she did. He loved her, but being the younger he guessed he was always destined to be shadowed over by her, if at least only a little. It was the way he looked at it. Which is really why he tried so hard to please the people he was around, even though he may not look it.
Looking back up at Elizza as she seemed to look around, anxious to get her smoothie, Julian let a smile pass his face for a moment, before falling just a bit behind. "It's not too far away, but it's still a bit of a walk," he said, almost as if reading her thoughts. He was about to throw in a 'patience, grasshopper' but he bit it back. That was pretty lame, even by his standards. He lifted his head to look around his surroundings a bit, before absentmindedly fiddling with the focus on his camera. He tended to do that when he was thinking about something, or got the itch to photograph. It had become sort of an addiction.....but at least it wasn't to something bad.
A gentle click was heard quietly in the air as Julian took a couple photos. He had to admit, their campus was really nice looking. And....well he had found an interesting subject. He had only gotten Elizza's back, and a glimpse of the side of her face. "Hope you don't mind...." he trailed off, with a sheepish smile, looking a bit shameful. He didn't know how she'd react to it. It was a tricky subject with people. Some liked being photographed, and others abhorred it. But.....he had to admit she was rather photogenic.
"Enlighten you?" he asked then with a gentle tilt of his head. "That's my line," he pouted playfully. "Uh.........well I'll get back to you on it." He honestly couldn't come up with it right on the spot. Usually crazy stuff that happened in the rain wasn't planned, it rather was just a spur of the moment thing. At least that's what he found.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza laughed as Julian put up his hands in defense. She didn't exactly get why but it satisfied her in a way. After voicing her random-rant-abouts, Elizza glanced at Julian, noticing his sort of shocked expression. It confused her for a bit before he spoke, but she left the matter alone. As she listened biting the inside of her lip, she fiddled around with the ends of her hair with one hand.
“Sort of.... easy to manipulate a times,” she concluded with a nod of head to confirm what she had said. Her eyes widened as she nodded slowly to what he was saying, “Yea...” Elizza trailed off and left the subject alone. The whole expectation her parents had, whatever it was, was annoying and seemed to only satisfy her parents. She had always felt that her wants and needs meant nothing to them. Although she learned to leave all of those feelings alone, it hadn't mattered when it came down to just doing what she wanted. Elizza was glad though that Julian had understood her, or at least somewhat had. Shrugging her shoulders in an 'anyway' kind of way she put her hands back into her jacket pockets.
“Okay,” she said with a laugh, looking at him before walking on. Her bright eyes traveled around the campus a bit, but mostly at the rain as it hit the ground. Kind of going into an oblivious sort of state, Elizza defaulted to shaking out her hair before letting it lie on her hood behind her. Once she brought her mind back to reality she noticed Julian falling a bit behind. With a shake of her head and slight smirk she only slowed down a bit for him.
A curious frown crossed Elizza's face as she heard a faint clicks behind her. Looking back at Julian now, she noticed him occupied with his camera. A small smile formed on her face. He had really been into photography, and it seemed he wasn't taking them just for the image but because he really loved taking photos, capturing scenes. Elizza didn't see that often in people, but when she did she could really appreciate it. Even though she was not those type of motivated people.
Not really putting two and two together, she pursed her lips with a smile. “No it's fine.” she said with a shake of her head. It had bothered her when people took picture of her without her knowing, but she wasn't one to run away at the sight of a camera lens. “Wait... but not of me right or...?” she asked turning to walk backwards with an amused smirk. Elizza laughed slightly at how slow she was processing.

It's been a while Scoffing a bit, Julian peeked around the view of his camera before shaking his head. "You'd be the last I'd believe to be easily manipulated....though I don't think that's really the point."
It was true. She seemed so strong willed, a didn't let anyone tell her what was what, making her own decisions and acting accordingly despite the consequences. She wasn't one to let anyone slow her down, in any way, shape or form. Though he couldn't see anything that was happening here as causing people to conform....well unless it was to be more popular....but that was in every high school and a completely different, unrelated story.
Looking sheepish for just a second, Julian laughed at how she didn't really seem to get what he was so fascinated by. He's been arond the campus, particularly this part more times than he could count, so there was nothing that interested him there.
"For someone doing a lot of "enlihtening,"" he began, putting the word in quotations made by the fingers of one hand, "you're really not getting it. I don't see anything else as fascinating or pretty around here, do you?" he said, looking around with a defeated shrug to emphasize the point. "I'll stop if you want though," he added, biting his lip in a shameful sort of way, almost looking like a kid getting caught doing something he wasn't supposed to do.
Sometimes he really couldn't help himself, though he found that often times he usually didn't have to deal with the issue. He would usually just smooth talk it with other girls, and they usually took it as a compliment to begin with. The only other one who seemed to object was his sister....and....well....she was his sister. It was bound to happen.

Elizza just shrugged in response, not really needing to add on. She had been that vulnerable sometimes, though with only some people that she was closer to. Mentally clearing her thoughts, she let out a breath. She wiped her eyes after noticing little droplets of water on her eyelashes.
Elizza shook her head with her mouth open, as if she were about to say something as Julian laughed. Pursing her lips with a slight frown as she continued to walk backward she watched and listen to him. Fascinating was a surprising word to hear about herself. Tilting her head slightly before speaking she scoffed.
“Alright. Well if you're going to take pictures of me they have to be good,” she said with her eyebrows raised. Elizza bit the inside of her cheek, not really knowing what he wanted her to do.

It's been a while "Yes ma'am," Julian gave a little three fingered salute in her direction before disappearing behind his camera, happy she didn't mind what he was doing. "Don't worry about it, I've got it covered....though I think you have that part handled pretty well all on your own. I'm just pressing a button," he added with a small smirk she couldn't see.
He didn't really expect her to do anything special. Really just being herself and being normal was what had interested him in the first place. Because her normal was different. Not many people took a walk out in the rain without an umbrella, and walked backwards without a care in the world at the same time, talking about whatever came to mind, whenever she felt like it.
She was free, despite not feeling like it and complaining of how her parents were on her back constantly, freer than people who didn't even know they weren't. It intrigued him. And it saved him from having to default to talking about himself.
He chuckled at her expression, capturing it for a moment, before lowering the camera from his face. "Just be yourself sweetheart," he advised.
That whole capturing people in their normal state was much more interesting to him than people pretending to be who they weren't, posing to make themselves look the best. The camera usually had that sort of stigma to it, which was the one thing he truly disliked about photography.
"If it helps any, I give you full permission to totally ignore me and my complete stupidity," he grinned at his self-deprecating humor, though keeping his camera lowered at his side. Sometimes it was necessary to laugh at yourself. If you couldn't do that then how were you going to laugh at all the other hilarious things in life.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza gave him a quick nod after his salute. A smile crept onto her face as she thought a moment before speaking again. “Well, there's gotta be more to it than just clicking a button,” she said with a raised brow. Looking back a moment as she walked backwards, she took note of what had been behind her before looking back at Julian who was hidden behind the camera.
Giving him a 'what do I do' kind of look as she shrugged, she only shook her head at his answer. She bit the inside of her cheek before opening her mouth to say something. Closing it instantly, she realiazed she really had nothing to say. She turned around to walk forward a second, avoiding the camera a moment.
Elizza then began to walk backwards again as he spoke, she frowned. “Where is this stupidity you speak of?” She lifted a shoulder and raised her eyebrows. Whatever Julian thought was his 'stupidity' must have been pretty smart in her mind. She shook her head looking away as she stuffed her hands in her jacket pockets. At least he had laughed about it.
Elizza tilted her head up to look at the gloomy sky a moment as she thought of what she could do to get her mind off that watching camera. Only a few drops of rain landed on her face before she stopped gaping up at the sky. A thought finally came to her mind as she looked back a Julian. “I might as well talk, I seem to do that best,” she said with a slight laugh before continuing. “Uhhmmm.... cheeseburgers are good. Italian dressing on salads is the best. Ranch with fries is gross, to me anyway. Seafood rocks, of course. Uhhhmmm...”
Elizza tried to think of something else related to food since that was her random topic at the moment. Humming as she thought, she took that time to turn back around to play with her hair a moment. “Oh!” she said as she turned around to look at Julian again, “Strawberries are amazing,” she said in a serious tone before laughing at herself. She shook her head with a smile and looked down at the ground.

It's been a while Humming a little in thought, Julian thought of a way to explain what he meant. "Well......perhaps it can be. But it depends on what you want to do, what's available, and how much you know......" he shrugged humbly, conceding a bit to her statement. He never really found what he did all too special, even though he enjoyed it a lot, and never played it up like it was. And he was still learning so he couldn't really act like he knew everything about it. "Let's just say for now...at least for me, it's just me pressing a couple buttons and what not," he smiled sheepishly.
Quickly taking a shot of Elizza walking backwards, he lowered it again, catching up to her side, and trying out walking backwards himself. "........I really hope I don't bump into anything....." he said after a moment with a little shake of his head.
"My stupidity? Just generally here and there," he smiled shyly, biting his lip, not really sure an explanation was needed. He didn't think he was one of the smartest people around, especially in the things he said and did. "I mean, I don't think many people would spend 'hang out' time like this......plus other ensuing randomness," he said, trying to be honest but unsure how to explain it, looking down at his feet. He knew he was being vague, but he really wasn't skilled in talking about himself. He seemed to have lost it when he started to close himself off from everyone. And now it probably just came off as awkward.
He had gone vulnerable for a moment. It usually happened when he started talking about himself, his least favorite topic. He would say that he did like talking to people, but when it came to the subject of himself he was one of the most introverted people around.
Falling quiet for a bit, he snapped a picture of Elizza looking up at the sky, before lowering the camera once again, fidgeting with his necklace with one hand, looking to his side until she started speaking again.
Laughing quietly, he seemed amused by her random babbling. "You've actually done that? Ranch with french fries I mean. Hm, sounds adventurous......and I don't think seafood was ever in the question of not being great......sushi is amazing," he replied, seeming to muse over something with a light smile before taking a picture of her playing with her hair.
"Strawberries are good........I'm more of an apple person though," he admitted.
So I'll just beg, borrow and steal all your time. We'll call it dignified.

Elizza nodded her head to show her understanding. There couldn't be that much to it, besides what he had said, knowing what you want. Made sense, and he had to have a good eye for those kind of things. "Alrighty," she replied gingerly.
She let out a slight laugh as she looked behind them before looking back to Julian. "Trust me you wont." Elizza began to walk forward again after a moment when he began to speak again.
She shook her head as she spoke, "That's not stupid though, but I get it... for the most part. I think." She tilted her head with a small smile as she pursed her lips before letting the topic float away. Didn't really make sense to her at the moment, but that was his logic of it all. She thought of that falling in a different category, not necessarily what they had been referring to. Eh, it wasn't something that was all that important anyway.
Elizza laughed at his response, "Not that difficult actually. You just get some ranch, take a french fry, dip it and throw it in your mouth.... and yes sushi is amazing." She smiled slightly and lifted a shoulder as she went on, teasing him a bit, "Yea, apples are good...... I'm more of a strawberry person though." She raised her eyebrows at him before continuing, "And as far as pastries, you're more of a muffin."
