After staying up late the night before, when she hit the hay she was out until then. No alarm clock would've waken that girl up. She ate a few saltine crackers from her stash in her room to give a little substance to her stomach, and started the long process of getting ready. She took a nice warm shower, put on some nice shorts and a thin, airy shirt, and did her hair before she returned back to her room. Her roommates had also awoken, one was probably long gone hours ago, but the other was still dilly dallying in their room. She smiled at her when Monica went over to check her phone. Monica returned the smile, and looked through her most recent unread messages. hey mo, funcenter@ 2? me grace and cedar. That was the most recent message in her inbox. She looked at the time. 11:45. Well, Monica would have time to eat and prep for whatever they'd be doing. She texted back saying she would go. You might be thinking, isn't the Fun Center for little kids? Well, since there are so many high schoolers around this town, they've amped up some of the attractions to suit not only the little kids that come around, but the students of Kingswood Prep as well. Monica had fun, but she didn't go very often. Someone cool had to go, or she just had to have a feeling that she wanted to. Monica went to eat "brunch" and had a nice little chat with some of her friends, and just had a grand time laughing and flirting with and flattering the boys. She checked the time and it was time to leave for town. She said her goodbyes and still in the same outfit she was in after her shower, she began walking. As she walked into the Center, she was welcomed by the sound of crashing bowling pins, the sound of arcade games making noises and dispensing tickets, and the scent of bad pizza and burnt popcorn. She spotted the group she was meeting over by the ticket counter, and they said that they were planning on mini golf, but were waiting for Monica to show up before they paid for anything. "That sounds great!" she said. It was smart too, since the putt putt course was outdoors, they wouldn't have to face the smell of the stinky food, at least until they came back in. Then maybe they'd be done. Right as she was done paying for her ticket and received her club and ball, the person behind her who was not one of the other three, also paid for a round of 18 holes. Monica recognized them from school, and when they turned around she asked, "Hey, wanna play with us? Or are you meeting someone?" It never hurt to ask, since they looked like they were alone. ♥ ♥ ♥ template by hay shay ! @ caution 2.0 LYRICS BY PANIC AT THE DISCO |
