APPEARANCE
Jenna is pretty average size wise. She is about 5'6" and weighs around 125 pounds. She doesn't have any tattoos, nor does she have any piercings, other than her ears. She has long black hair that is naturally wavy and dark brown eyes. You'll usually find her dressed to impress because that's just her style.
PERSONALITY
Jenna is one of the happiest, most up-beat people you'll ever meet. She's almost always in a good mood and it sure takes a lot to get her down. She just loves life and tries to live it to the fullest. She's a very bubbly person. Jenna is someone you would see skipping down the beach with a huge smile on her face just because she feels like it. She's not afraid to talk to anyone, but she doesn't get too crazy. Sure, she's very random and fun, but she doesn't go wild and party all night or anything. She's not very loud, but she's not quiet either. She's a chatter box, that's for sure, and she loves to have a good time.
This girl loves to sing. Music is her passion. She aspires to be a famous singer-songwriter, hence the reason she came to Kingswood. But she doesn't just love it, she's good at it. Amazing, actually. Her voice is like that of an angel...well, you know what I mean. (; As for instruments, she can play the piano and violin. But a lot of her family and friends don't want her to pursue a career in music. They think the industry is too shaky and unstable. They would prefer her to be an author - write for a newspaper or magazine or even her own books - because they know that Jenna is a fantastic writer and they think she would have a steadier job. English is by far her best subject. She gets top marks on almost every assignment. She loves writing almost as much as she loves music, but she thinks she can combine her writing ability with her musical talents to write songs and perform them and get the best of both worlds.
As far as school goes, Jenna doesn't really have a hard time with it. She's not brilliant, but she's not even close to failing any subject. She follows the rules and does what she's supposed to do during class and only goofs off occasionally (and mainly if she finds a class easy and boring). Her schooling in England up until this year puts her slightly ahead of most juniors at KWP, so a lot of her current classes are a breeze for her. She's not the most athletic person in the world, but she definitely has an athletic bone in her body. She runs cross country and plays lacrosse. One of Jenna's pet peeves is when people don't do their own work in class. Cheating is something she can't stand. She's somewhat of a goody-goody, which can turn a lot of people off. She doesn't really care, though. She has a good time anyway. Another little fact about Jenna is that she's kind of a neat freak. She likes for everything to be in perfect order and clean. She doesn't have OCD or anything, she just doesn't like it when stuff doesn't match or when something is out of place.
HISTORY
Jenna grew up in a little city just outside of London. Her family took frequent trips to the city though, as her father's business was located there and it was only about 30 minutes away. She grew up like any normal kid, really. Her parents are happily married with three children, Jenna being the middle child. She has an older brother, Brendon, and a younger brother, Cory. Her family is very well off, as her father is a CEO of a big corporation. For years, he made frequent trips to California and New York for business, but it got too expensive to keep flying back and forth from England to the States, so he finally decided to move the family to Cali to cut down on the expenses and for him to be able to see them more often. He goes to New York once a month now, but it's much cheaper and he even takes the family with him sometimes.
Jenna is "daddy's little girl" and her dad spoils his little princess. Every time he would come home from a trip, he brought Jenna something. A lot of times, it was some type of jewelry or a new fashion item that was popular in New York. She and her mother have a very close relationship as well. Actually, her whole family is pretty close. Their closeness comes a lot from the over-protectiveness of her parents. For a long time, Jenna and her brothers weren't allowed to do anything outside of school and church. There was no going to the mall with her besties on a Friday night or sleepovers with more than one or two people. And there was definitely no boys allowed. Jenna didn't have a boyfriend or even go on a date until she was almost sixteen years old. Her dad had said that it wasn't actually dating unless the boy could come pick her up in his own car and take her out and afford to pay for it himself. As Jenna got older, their family nights every Friday got more and more annoying to her. She went along with it though because it was what she was supposed to do. Finally, her brother Brendon spoke up for the kids. He told their parents that they had better things to do on a Friday night than play Scrabble with their parents. And with that, he took Jenna (Cory was only 7) out with him to a party one of his friends was throwing. Jenna was really surprised, but thankful that her brother had finally gotten them out of family night for once. After that, her parents became a little more lenient. They allowed Jenna and Brendon to do pretty much what they wanted to do, as long as it was within reason. Jenna went on shopping sprees with her friends without complaint from her parents, she started dating (not much, but occasionally), and she even went to a few parties (telling her parents she was hanging out with her friends for the night). She became a normal teenage girl.
Jenna's love for music comes from her mother, who stuck her in piano lessons when she was five as something to do to keep her out of trouble. At first, Jenna didn't want to do it. She dreaded going every Tuesday night and even more so, she dreaded when she got home and was forced to practice for at least half an hour every day. But the dread quickly eased and she fell in love with it. She became better and better every day and actually welcomed Tuesday nights when she could get away from her parents and family for a little while and just enjoy the music. When she was eight, she started composing. Not fantastic, prodigy-like pieces, but short little cute verses that she later combined into songs. At the age of ten, she decided to start taking violin lessons and quickly got that hang of it. She learned how to use the family's computer to record her piano track and then combine it with that of the violin and sometimes even add her voice to it. Her parents knew she was good at it, but they wanted her to do something more worthwhile that would make her use her brain more. So they cancelled her lessons (she didn't really need them anymore anyway) and when she was thirteen, they stuck her in a creative writing class instead. She enjoyed it, but she missed the music that allowed her to escape the real world. Sure, writing was fun and she could create her own little world, but she found herself writing more poems than she did fictional stories. And then her brain subconciously put the poems to music, forming songs. She just couldn't escape the music!
When her family moved to California, Jenna searched and searched for schools in the area that had good music programs, but would also pass her parents requirements. She came across Kingswood Prep and knew immediately that this was the school for her.
WHY KWP?
Jenna chose to come to KWP for it's fantastic music program that might help her get into Juliard and because of its location in California, where her dad's company moved to from England. It also passed all her parents requirements for a good school.
